Although Robots are fun and the fights are entertaining, we have to remember that they can be dangerous and therefore they are fitted with various safety devices such as:
Failsafe – These shut the robot down in case of radio interference or loss of signal.
Removable Link – All machines have a safety link that completely turns off all electrical power to the machine and can only be inserted when in the arena.
Pressure Relief Valves – All pneumatic robots must have one of these, it stops the gas system from over pressuring and casing potential damage.
For safety reasons Heavyweight “Spinners” are not allowed to fight at this event at present.
We ask you for your own safety to observe the following:
Please remain seated whilst fights are in progress
Please keep clear of the arena at all times.
For safety reasons the audience are not allowed in “The Pits”.
Remember the robots are big and powerful so expect a lot of loud bangs!
Flashing lights and smoke effects may be used during the show.
In the unfortunate event of an emergency we ask you to leave the auditorium calmly by the nearest fire exit, following the directions of the staff.
