THE ARENA
Weighing nearly 3.5 tonnes, the arena is designed to contain all the robots safely
For those of you who like statistics:
The arena is 10 x 12 metres
The Walls are around 0.5 metre high
The floor is a double layer of 18mm wood, the top layer is MDF and the lower layer is plywood
8 hours are need to put the arena up and only 2 to take it down
The Polycarbonate screening is the same very strong plastic used as amour on some robots
The arena is made of a modular construction, so it can be adapted to different designs or size
The lighting is supported by the roof which weighs 200kg
